TWGT Shaft Trimming Charts

The following charts indicate the standard trimming and installation instructions for all of the TWGT designed shafts. These charts simply indicate the normal trimming and installation procedures for each shaft and may be altered by the clubmaker for custom shaft fitting and installation purposes for each golfer. Clubmakers please note that the standard shaft trimming and installation guidelines in the 2010 catalog are set up for all the new S2S shaft designs. In addition shaft trimming for certain TWGT shafts which have not been re-designed for 2010 may have been changed based on further shaft fitting research by TWGT.

VARIATIONS:
Increasing each Tip Trim by 1/2” will result in a slightly firmer feel but with no real change in launch angle. Increasing each Tip Trim by 1” will result in a more noticeable feel in shaft firmness and will also generate a slight decrease in the launch angle.

Decreasing each Tip Trim by 1/2” will result in a slightly more flexible feel in the fairway woods with no real increase in launch angle. Decreasing each Tip Trim by 1” will result in a more noticeable increase in shaft flexibility feel but with only a very slight increase in the launch angle.

Note:The reason we offer a length range for the 730CL assembly is to correspond to golfers who may play better with a shorter or slightly longer length as dictated by their playing ability. In all cases of building the 730CL clubs to the shorter of the length within the range for length, more weight will have to be added to the heads in the form of the weight plugs in the weight bore or through the use of a shaft tip weight.
